Staying Warm on the Slopes with Volt Heated Clothing

Staying Warm on the Slopes with Volt Heated Clothing

January 10, 2024

Don't let cold hands ruin a day on the mountain. Having cold and numb fingers can be miserable but it all can be avoided with Volt Heated Gloves

Unlike competitor's gloves, our gloves are engineered with our patented Zero Layer Heating System that provides full heated coverage. There are strategically placed heating elements that run the length of each finger, on both sides, including the thumb. There is also heating elements placed on the palm and back of the hand.

To make your volt heated gloves most effective it is also important to make sure to follow these tips below:

KEEP YOUR CORE WARM:  By wearing one of our heated vests you can help keep your core warm to prevent the body from going into vasoconstriction where the body will rob the blood from your extremities. This can happen even when wearing heated gloves or heated socks if you are not keeping your core warm.

EXPERIMENT WITH POWER LEVEL SETTINGS: Another important factor is making sure to use the correct power level setting. The highest setting may feel the best but remember the goal is to keep your hands from getting cold and you don't want the gloves at a setting that will make your hands perspire as this is the body releasing body heat.

PACK EXTRAS: If you are going to spend a full day in particularly harsh conditions, consider bringing extra charged batteries as backups and to help extend overall run times. Keep these extra batteries insulated from the cold when not in use as extreme cold can diminish capacity. When being used in the gloves the batteries are being insulated by the battery pocket and providing their own heat when being discharged.

Volt Heated Gloves can significantly enhance your comfort and warmth on a cold day on the mountain. We have many different styles of heated gloves to choose from that can be found here.

Stay warm!
