Who are you buying from?

Who are you buying from?

January 31, 2023

These days it seems a new company every day is selling heated clothing. Fly-by-night companies in China who through support of Amazon are able to throw products into the market without any experience, regulation or care for the customer.

We, here at Volt have over 20+ years of experience with developing and manufacturing heated clothing. Our start was in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with Gerbing’s Heated Clothing which is a brand you may be familiar with. It is now Gerbing and has sold a few times since the good old days when the brand was strong. Everyone is gone now but some of the key members from Gerbing’s left with the Chief Operating Officer and started the Volt Heated Clothing brand. Gerbing’s was predominately a motorcycle clothing brand who concentrated on 12v products powered from the bike’s electrical system. Volt’s focus was to develop products anyone could use, anywhere and not have to be tethered to a bike.

We started by developing our own heating system that we knew was unique, efficient and durable. And because of these factors we were able to get patent rights to our heating system. Not something you will find with any other heated clothing company who are all using the same heating system, less expensive, mass produced carbon fiber thread which fails in comparison to our ultra-fine stainless steel fibers woven and coated that we strategically place into each product. By making it so durable we were able to offer our Lifetime Limited Warranty. Nothing is indestructible so there are issues that come up from time to time but we stand behind our products and do our best to make right any problem or issue that may arise.

So always know who and what you are buying. Are you buying from a factory who is trying to trick you with phony reviews or from a company who understands that being cold isn’t fun and wants to help you.

Stay warm!

The Volt Heat Team

Nothing real strenuous but just something around 5 miles round trip or less to get my steps in and enjoy nature. In the past month I did some traveling and was able to add a couple of new trail hikes to my top 10 list that I wanted to share.
