The Volt Torso heated vest liner is built for people who need serious warmth without piling on heavy layers. Designed with a body-hugging fit and ultra-light materials, this heated vest liner delivers powerful core heat while staying nearly invisible under your outerwear.
Unlike traditional heated gear that can feel puffy or restrictive, this heated vest liner uses a no-insulation design paired with Volt’s Zero Layer Heat System. The result is a flexible, close-to-the-body fit that moves with you during work, travel, or outdoor activities.
If you want heat that feels built in rather than bulky, this heated vest liner was made for you.
Ultra Slim Design for Easy Layering
Many heated garments add warmth but also add bulk. The Torso is different. This thin heated vest is engineered specifically for layering under jackets, hoodies, riding gear, or uniforms without changing how your outer layer fits.
Because this thin heated vest eliminates traditional insulation, it sits flat against your base layer. You get consistent, direct heat transfer without that stuffed feeling. Whether you are commuting, working outdoors, or riding in cold conditions, this thin heated vest keeps your core comfortable while your outer layers do the weather protection.
Advanced 4-Panel Heating System
Heat placement matters. The Torso features a 4-panel heating system powered by Volt’s 7V Zero Layer Heat technology:
● 2 heating panels in the back and upper back
● 2 heating panels on the chest
This heated liner vest focuses warmth where your body needs it most, helping maintain core temperature so you feel more comfortable overall. Instead of blasting heat in one small spot, this heated liner vest provides balanced, penetrating warmth across your torso.
On the highest setting, you can reach temperatures over 150°F for up to 2 hours. On lower settings, you can enjoy steady warmth for up to 10 hours, making it suitable for long workdays, outdoor events, and extended time in the cold.
Wear It Under Almost Anything
Thanks to its streamlined construction, the Torso works perfectly as a heated under vest. It slides easily under:
● Work jackets and uniforms
● Motorcycle and riding gear
● Ski and snowboard shells
● Everyday winter coats
● Hoodies and softshell jackets
Because it feels more like technical equipment than a bulky garment, you can move freely while staying comfortable in demanding conditions.
One of the Thinnest Options for Heated Apparel
If you are searching for the thinnest heated vest that still delivers serious performance, the Torso stands out. The ripstop nylon shell is durable yet featherlight, and the no-insulation design keeps the profile extremely low. You get effective heat without sacrificing mobility or adding pressure under tight outer layers.
Smart Controls and Long-Lasting Power
The Torso includes a powerful 7V lithium battery (VB726U) and charger, so you are ready to go right out of the box.
Key power features:
● Built-in 4-level microprocessor controller
● Easy heat adjustment for changing conditions
● Up to 2 hours on high heat
● Up to 10 hours on the lowest setting
● Charger compatible with 110V and 220V outlets with a standard US plug
You can quickly dial heat up when temperatures drop or turn it down for longer battery life during milder conditions.

Yes. The Torso is designed to sit close to the body, making it ideal over a thin base layer and under your main outerwear for best heat transfer.
Not at all. It is specifically designed to be extremely low profile, so it layers comfortably under most jackets, including fitted outerwear.
Battery life depends on the heat setting. You can expect about 2 hours on high and up to 10 hours on the lowest setting.
There are four panels total: two in the back and upper back, and two on the chest for balanced core warmth.
Yes. The included charger works with both 110V and 220V outlets and comes with a standard US plug.
Volt offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on unused items in original packaging, so you can try it on and ensure the fit works with your layering system.
i like how slim it fits underneath your clothes and it warms up nice but the battery doesn’t last very long at all. i haven’t turned it up past 2 and it was dead within a few hours and a extra battery is another $40. I will probably try a different brand once this battery quits taking a charge.
Owned a similar one years ago. It provides the heat I need under my coveralls.
The vest was not remotely the size it said it was. I couldn’t even zip it, and I remeasured to be sure there was no error.. I sent it back immediately for a refund.
The darn Thang workss.be hunting all day in the snow..bought 2 spare batteries. Can't wait
it’s not the neoprene material i thought it was. it looked tougher and thicker in the picture. it’s a very thin like nylon/noisy rain jacket material. it gets warm and lasts me the cold morning, but i use it as a base layer under my columbia and carhart, so the biggest inconvenience using this an an underlayer is that you cant adjust the heat level or power it on/off conveniently. the pocket is a pain to get to the battery. it should have a button near the collar. and integrated charging for the battery would be nice, usb-c. more convenient
Thanks for the review. I am not sure why you thought the nylon vest liner was neoprene material as there is no mention of neoprene being used in the construction of the vest. If you were wanting something thicker we do have other vest options - Carbon Fleece, Cracow, Empire, Coho.
Glad to hear you are using the vest as a midlayer as it was meant to be used. We do offer our larger capacity VB750RC remote control battery as an option if you would like to adjust the heat level remotely.
Unfortunately, USB-C only has a 5v output which is not capable of charging a 7v battery.
It started with a challenge to our company founder to find a solution for his mother who suffered from cold feet, even while indoors in a heated home.
We’d Love to Hear From You!
