The Frostie II gloves were designed for optimal fit, comfort and performance.
The focus on the styling of the Frostie II was to design a lightweight, all purpose glove that would provide maximum heat output and coverage while also eliminating any excess bulkiness. We believe we checked all the boxes with the Frosite II gloves.
We accomplished this by developing a new ultra slim and lightweight battery that could be stored in a pocket on the underside of the cuff. With this new battery and location, the battery is almost completely unnoticeable to the user. Weighing less than 3 ounces and less than a 1/2 inch thick, this new battery tucks discreetly inside a waterproof zippered pocket where it hidden and ready to provide maximum power. What makes it so powerful? We used higher voltage battery cells allowing the battery to provide 8.7v of output. More voltage equals more heat.
PERFORMANCE
Like all of our heated gloves, the Frostie II gloves are integrated with our patented Zero Layer Heating System that provides full heat coverage that surrounds the hands in cocoon of warmth. What does full heat coverage mean? Our heating elements extend the length of each finger and fingertip, the back of the hand and unlike our competitors, we also heat the underside of the fingers and the palm as well. Oh, and by the way, we added 20% more heating element coverage to these areas. You’re welcome.
Each pair of gloves includes two 2600mah rechargeable batteries and a dual charger. Simply charge up the batteries (light on the charger will turn from red to green to indicate a full charge) and connect each battery to the round plug found in the battery pocket on the glove. When you are ready for heat just press and hold the rubberized controller switch sewn into the glove on the back of the hand. Choose from 4 power level setting, Red = High, White = Med/High, Green = Medium, Blue = Low
Approximate run time with fully charged batteries listed below. Batteries fully charge in 3-4 hours.
High = 2+ hours
Med/High = 3+ hours
Medium = 4+ hours
Low = 5+ hours
We are not going to post temperature recordings for this style of glove because there are just too many variables and we find that it can be confusing for some customers. Just remember though if you are planning on doing any comparisons, our gloves are made to be hotter than our competitors and our medium setting is typically higher than other’s highest setting.
Includes an inner waterproof/breathable membrane to help keep your hands dry
SIZING
The Frostie II gloves are unisex sized meaning they are not specifically sized for men or women. Just take the measurement of the circumference of the hand and finger length to help determine your size.

Medium: Hand circumference 7.5 - 8.5”, Middle finger length 3.1 - 3.3”
Large: Hand circumference 8.5 - 9”, Middle finger length 3.3 - 3.5”

2X-Large: Hand circumference 9.5 - 10”, Middle finger length 3.7 - 3.8”
I've bought multiple heated gloves and none quite did the job, didn't keep my finger tips warm, didn't fit right, cuffs to high short battery life... these were my last shot and finally they are great
on all accounts. I couldn't be happier, definitely recommend them.
I bought these gloves because last year my hands got very cold when I was out snow blowing. I've used these Frostie II gloves and I am very impressed with how well they heat and how long the batteries last. I use them on the low setting and I can snow blow for several hours. Thank you Volt, they are the best thing since sliced bread!
As an avid cyclist in the Northeastern US, I've found the toughest challenges to be keeping hands and feet warm throughout long morning rides through the winter and now, early spring (besides snow and ice!). I've purchased top of the line winter cycling gloves but even these are less than effective once you get into the second hour. So I turned to heated gloves, which, given their clunky design, never seemed to be a great option for shifting gears on a bike.I bought the Frostie II model because a) the heating pattern covered the hand and fingers fully, 2) they were all black, a must, and 3) they seemed less bulky, had a padded palm, and looked more in line with the rest of my cycling gear. They've been brilliant. I no longer have to think about numb, freezing hands deep into a ride, knowing I have these to protect me.I took a chance and went down a size to keep them tight and maneuverable, but, while ok, is not ideal. My fault. Next time I will know better. I still wish there was a cycling-specific pair, which would have a shorter cuff, particularly on the top, watch side (tracking time, speed, distance). It would be great to have touchscreen-sensitive index fingers, too. None of this detracts from the excellent performance of the gloves! Thanks!
I'm very pleased with these gloves. Flexible, inner finger surfaces are warmed as well as the outside, as thin as can be expected, and pre-formed for comfort. The powerful 8v battery is still skinny. A note on sizing: I was on the cusp of Large and XL. I bought both and returned the Large. The website's note on sizing was spot on: Go to a larger size if any uncertainty.
I live in the Chicagoland area where winters are cold and long. When shoveling snow or being out in the elements for more than 2 hours, my hands were always cold and my fingertips would get frostbite with heavy leather gloves or other gloves that are supposed to keep your hands warm. Then I found Frostie II gloves. They keep my hands nice and warm. I purchased an extra set of batteries to have enough power for several hours. I love these gloves! No more frostbite in winter. The only caveat I found is that the power buttons on the gloves are “touchy”. When I am out clearing snow, I noticed frequently that the power setting seem to change by simply brushing against an object or tapping the button accidentally while working. I am not sure if this can be prevented. It would be nice to hear from the company on this problem. Other than that, it is a good product.
