RADIANT Mens 5v Heated Vest

I have been looking at battery-powered vests for sometime but was skeptical about their performance and durability. When I was a kid, the heated socks available to us were powered by two D cell batteries strapped to your calf, and the socks lasted 3 outings if you were lucky. So call me cautious. A recent goose hunt in Canada required wearing several layers of down, GoreTex, fleece and Thinsulate clothing to survive hours of exposure to wind and temps in the low teens. I could hardly move my arms to lift my shotgun. Time for a change. This vest fits me well (XL size for a man 6' tall, 185 lb) and is quite comfortable even carrying the battery pack in one front pocket. Setting up the cell phone app for controlling the switch was a snap even for a 70 year old dinosaur like me. The heat comes on quickly and on the highest setting will be more than enough heat for extreme weather if layered under wind proof clothing. I have tested the battery several times - on the highest setting it ran for just over 5 hours, no loss of heat until the end. On the lowest setting, it was still working after 11 hours. Of course there will be some erosion in performance over many recharging cycles but I have other 5V 10,000 mAh batteries. The vest is well made and looks durable enough for years of wear. If the electrical system holds up, I'll be very grateful to Volt for a fine product. Their customer service is great, too. I highly recommend this product and the company.

As good, no, better than advertised. This lightweight jacket is stylish and nice enough for me to wear to town, but the real reason I purchased it, and where the product really shines, is keeping me in the deer woods longer and making me a more successful hunter. If you get cold easily in the woods as I do, this is a must-have item in your hunting kit.

I inadvertently ordered the wrong size vest. I called support and got a live person to talk to! He promptly canceled my order and I received emails confirming it. It was great customer support.

I tried this vest as a solution for keeping warm in the stand. Having received it, I found myself wearing it almost everywhere! The versatility of a vest to reduce bulk with the added warmth of heat is a perfect combination! Really enjoying it and already looking at getting more from Volt.

Bought this vest and extra battery to reduce the layers of clothing while ice fishing. Does the job in single digit weather.
