Fusion Line of Heated Motorcycle Products by Volt

Fusion Line of Heated Motorcycle Products by Volt

April 03, 2020

The new Fusion line of heated gear by Volt is a new era of heated clothing. In order to understand the benefit, you must first understand the issue. 12V heated clothing is king when it comes to heat output. Motorcycle riders have been using heated clothing for decades.

The traditional system

By connecting to the motorcycle’s 12 volt power source, riders have a lot of energy to heat up their

products. It starts by running a wiring harness off of the battery of the motorcycle. That will then plug in to some sort of temperature regulating device called a therm controller or dual therm controller. That therm controller then plugs in to your heated product whether it be a jacket, vest, gloves or pants. This system works great when you are riding.

The issue:

12v heated clothing is king when it comes to heat coverage and heat output, it does have an Achilles heel. The issue that riders face when using 12v heated clothing is that it only heats when you are sitting on the bike and plugged in leaving you tethered to the bike. Once you unplug and get off the bike, your heated jacket or heated gloves will no longer be connected to power meaning you can’t keep them heated. If you wanted to use your motorcycle heated jacket or heated vest for a sporting event, fishing, hunting or skiing, you wouldn’t be able too, until now.

The Fusion Solution

Volt’s Fusion line of heated clothing combines the versatility of portable 7V heated clothing with the coverage and heat output of 12V heated clothing. When you are riding you plug the Fusion product into the motorcycle’s 12V system. This will power the heating system and also charge the 7V battery you have in the pocket of the vest or gloves. Once the rider gets to their destination and unplugs, the Fusion heated product will detect this action and the 7V battery will kick in seamlessly.

The Fusion heated clothing line by Volt has bridged the gap and made motorcycle clothing more versatile and useful than ever before. If you want to use your Fusion vest for your son’s or daughters outdoor sporting event, just use the wall charger to charge your 7V battery and you are good to go. If you want to use your Fusion gloves for a day of skiing, just use the wall charger to charge your 7V battery and you are good to go. If you want to use your vest for a day of hunting in your favorite stand, just use the wall charger to charge your 7V battery and you are good to go. The bottom line is Volt’s Fusion products can be used on or off your motorcycle with ease. The Fusion line has bridged the gap seamlessly between 12V and 7V heated clothing make it the most versatile heated product line available. Stay Warm!!!
