It was back in 2012 that we developed and then patented the Zero Layer heating system that is used in all of the Volt Heated Products today. The first product created and then brought to market was our Volt Heated Slippers. We are now up to the sixth rendition of Volt Heated Slippers and have also added a couple other heating options to help keep your feet warm.
Our Gen VI heated slippers have come along way since that first version that originally sold through Hammacher Schlemmer catalog. We still use our patented Zero Layer® heating system but have refined it to be able to provide full heat coverage to not only the bottom of the foot but on top of the foot as well. They also use over 600 grams of heat trapping insulation which make them toasty even without being powered on.
The batteries we use to power the slippers are higher voltage (8v vs 3v) which provides more power which in return provides more heat output from the heating system. Not only are the batteries more powerful but they are much smaller and flatter than what was used in earlier versions making them almost unnoticeable when wearing them.
